CONCORD — New Hampshire Fish and Game conservation officers yesterday recovered the body of Aaron Hoyt, 32, of Northfield in the Smith River.
Hoyt disappeared into the fast-moving river April 14, after jumping into the water.
Officers were patrolling the river in boats yesterday when they found Hoyt’s body about a half-mile below Profile Falls in Bristol.
Officials last week suspended the search after rising and swift-moving water made it unsafe for search teams.
The search resumed Saturday and continued until yesterday morning. Conservation officers were assisted by New England K-9 search-and-rescue teams and the Bristol Police Department.
The river’s water level yesterday was 30 feet lower than it was last week.
