PELHAM — A resident sustained a serious head injury after crashing his moped early yesterday morning.
Corey Reilly, 22, wasn’t wearing a helmet when he crashed his moped on Marsh Road at 12:22 a.m., police said.
Police and fire personnel found Reilly semi-conscious, lying next to a Honda Ruckus moped. He had been thrown from the vehicle and struck his head on the pavement, police said.
He was flown to a Boston helicopter by medical helicopter.
No other vehicles were involved.
The crash remains under investigation, but police said neither speed nor alcohol appear to have been factors.
