DERRY — A motorcyclist is in a Boston hospital after a crash on Stark Road Tuesday evening.
Nikloas Luz, 18, of Derry was listed in critical condition yesterday at Boston medical Center, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Luz was driving a Honda CR125 motorcycle on Stark Road at 7:21 p.m. Tuesday when he was involved in a collision with a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by Kenneth Hall, 39, also of Derry.
Police said it appear Luz, heading east, was trying to cross Stark Road when his motorcycle struck the right front of Hall’s car. Hall was traveling south on Stark Road when the accident occurred, Capt. Vern Thomas said.
The accident happened at the intersection of Stark Road and the Rockingham Trail.
Luz was thrown from his motorcycle and suffered life-threatening injuries, Thomas said.
He was first taken to Parkland Medical Center, then transferred to Boston Medical Center.
Hall wasn’t injured, but his passenger, Stacy Hall, 38, sustained minor injuries, according to police.
Police closed Stark Road for about five hours while the Accident Reconstruction Team investigated.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, Thomas said, and no charges have been filed.
The investigation continues.
