Sign up for summer reading in Atkinson

ATKINSON — Registration is now open for all summer reading programs at Kimball Library.

To be included in the program, registration is required for all age groups. Individual events for individual age groups will also require registration, as the events have a maximum capacity, and food or craft supplies need to be purchased in advance.

Beach advisory issued in Hampstead

HAMPSTEAD — The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services has issued a fecal bacteria advisory for the town beach on Sunset Lake.

Another sample was taken yesterday and results from that will be available tomorrow.

Genealogy program offered at library

DERRY — As part of the local history series of programs at Derry Public Library, a new program on genealogy research will be held on Monday at 6:30 p.m.

Come and hear Christine Sharbrough, certified genealogist and former Derry Public Library staff member, talk about the new trends and opportunities for genealogical researchers. Get a peek at the new online tools and the changes in the major offerings in ancestry.com, FamilySearch and more.
