Senior citizens honored guests at school’s tea

PLAISTOW — The Timberlane Middle School PTSA is sponsoring the school’s annual Senior Citizens’ tea on Saturday from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

This popular event welcomes senior citizens from the Timberlane District, whether they have family or friends in the middle school or not, to a holiday celebration.

The festivities include entertainment by middle school musical groups, decorations prepared by the children, refreshments prepared by PTSA members and members of the community and a festive atmosphere. Parents and teachers work to help set up, serve and clean up. Volunteers to help with the tea are needed.

Guests will be presented with a small gift. Donations of small poinsettias for centerpieces on the tables would be appreciated. To help, call the school at 382-7131. Senior citizens planning to attend the event are also asked to call the office to RSVP.
