SALEM — Six people stopped for traffic violations Wednesday and early yesterday ended up with more than tickets.
Police arrested six people on a variety of charges, including many for drug and alcohol possession, Deputy police Chief Shawn Patten said yesterday.
It started at 2:39 p.m. when Michelle Rheaume, 29, of Salem was stopped. She ended up with five charges, including a felony drug possession charge for mushrooms.
Rheaume also faces charges of driving with a suspended license, driving a vehicle with a suspended registration, possession of drugs in a motor vehicle and possession of marijuana.
Next it was Ryan Breton, 20, of Windham. He and Joshua LePage, 20, of Newton were stopped at 3:27 p.m.
Breton was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drugs in a motor vehicle and transportation of alcohol by a minor.
LePage faces two charges, one a felony for possession of prescription drugs. He also is charged with unlawful possession of alcohol.
Next up was Michael Jozokos, 25, of Methuen, stopped at 10:07 p.m. He was charged with driving after revocation and had an outstanding electronic bench warrant, also for driving after revocation.
Just past 1:30 a.m. yesterday, police stopped Michael Ramsden of Methuen, 24. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana and possession of drugs in a motor vehicle.
Minutes later, at 1:41 a.m. yesterday, Andrew Copley, 23, of Methuen was stopped and now faces two charges, possession of marijuana and possession of drugs in a motor vehicle.
