Fair proceeds to benefit food pantry

NEWTON — There will be a Vendor/Craft Holiday Family Fun Day Saturday to benefit the Newton Food Pantry.

This event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Empower Martial Arts on Puzzle Lane.

There are multiple vendors to fit all holiday shopping needs, along with family fun activities such as face-painting, Zumba with Wendy, martial arts with Sensei Dean, photo sessions with Brad and Rachel Deveau, and raffles galore.

Choir performance part of library

fun day in Hampstead

HAMPSTEAD — The Profile Chorus is performing at Hampstead Public Library from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday.

This women’s a capella show choir sings in four-part harmony. The concert is part of a free event that begins at 11 a.m.

The library will have books to read, crafts for kids, plus coffee, tea, cocoa, pastries and other goodies. The person with the most fabulous holiday sweater or outfit will receive a prize.

Fill up on pancakes with Santa

KINGSTON — Bakie PTA’s Annual Santa Breakfast will be held Saturday in the Sanborn Regional High School cafe, Route 111, from 8 to 11 .m.

Live entertainment will be provided by the Bakie Chorus. There will be pictures with Santa, face-painting, temporary tattoos and raffle baskets.

The breakfast menu includes pancakes, sausage, milk, juice, coffee or hot cocoa. The meal costs $5 per person.

WINDHAM — A free seminar on preparing businesses for sale will be held Thursday, Dec. 13, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Searles School, 3 Chapel Road.
