PLAISTOW — Three's not a charm for the Rockingham Trading Post.
The Plaistow Road pawnshop has been broken into three times in only about a week, police said.
An Atkinson man has been charged in connection with the third burglary, but the other two remain under investigation, police Lt. William Baldwin said.
Matthew Malcom, 21, was arrested Thursday on charges of theft, criminal mischief and felony burglary.
"It was a great joint effort by all Plaistow officers working," Baldwin said.
Shop owner Victor Giaimo said he's never seen anything like this.
"It's very unusual to have three break-ins in a week," he said. "We have very few break-ins at all because we're a very well-secured building."
Giaimo said he hasn't finished his inventory after the break-ins. But he does know a digital LED sign is missing along with a flat screen television. He intends to improve security.
"They broke in through our front picture window and a rear window," he said, "We had most of the windows barred up and have them all barred up now."
No further details on the burglaries were available.
