A column that appeared Monday in The Eagle-Tribune sharing a story from an Arkansas buddy about a young girl who unawaredly held upside down the “M” in Christmas at her school’s winter pageant, changing the spelling to “Christ Was Love,” attributed the details to an incorrect source. The story originated in 1999 with author Candy Chand, who attended her son’s Christmas pageant dress rehearsal and observed the unintended but inspirational events. She wrote about the details in the book titled, “Christmas Love, a True Story of a Holiday Miracle.”
