Firefighters, police remember 9/11

Windham firefighters, police officers and others gathered at the fire station yesterday morning to mark the 12th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

Towns throughout Southern New Hampshire marked the day, most with brief and solemn ceremonies.

In Plaistow, students, firefighters, veterans and town officials remembered those who died, including former resident Carol Flyzik, who died when the plane she was on hit the World Trade Center.
