Salem Boys & Girls Club celebrates community

---- — SALEM — Join the Boys & Girls of Greater Salem for the second Annual Community Appreciation Day on Sunday, June 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This event is sponsored by Salem Ford /Hyundai and its purpose is to thank the community for supporting the club throughout the year.

This fun-filled day includes free food and activities for all ages. There will be a jump house, a reptile show, a K-9 demonstration, karate demonstration, a race car, raffles, a cookout and much more.

The Club’s Torch Club and Keystone Club members will host carnival games and a face-painting booth. The Salem Animal Recue League will be bringing a few furry friends who are looking for a good home.

Meet local representatives from local nonprofit groups, including Salemhaven and Holy Family Hospital. Enjoy a free cookout featuring the culinary talents of the club’s Board of Directors and club staff.

There will be a free car wash by the folks at Salem Ford/Hyundai. Anyone who donates $20 to the club will receive a free gift, while supplies last.

All proceeds from this event will go directly to services for youth at the club.

Since 1967, The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem has provided a safe, nurturing environment for young people from Salem and its surrounding communities. Kids have a fun place to go every day after school and during the summer, with a professional staff that cares about them and provides programs that are fun and build good character along the way.
