Mycophile Ross Huntington will lead the walk, which starts at 1 p.m. in the Fremont Road parking area in the Sandown Town Forest.

Art of the Common is this Saturday
LONDONDERRY — Artists will be returning to set up their tents on the Londonderry Commons for Art on the Common Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Theme Award, Spatium Illuminatio Negative or an Illumination of Negative Space, challenges competing artists to define the separation of negative space with subject matter. Other judged categories are painting, drawing, eclecticco, fine photography, sculpture and 3D works.
Admission is free.
Men’s softball league open to more teams
PELHAM — Pelham Men’s Softball League starts play Sept. 16 at Newcomb Field.

Rubens, Lambert to speak in Atkinson
ATKINSON — The Atkinson Republican Committee will be hosting its next open meeting on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., at Kimball Library. The meeting will feature guest speakers Jim Rubens and Gary Lambert.
Rubens is exploring a run for U.S. Senate against incumbent Democrat Jeanne Shaheen and Lambert is running for the Republican nomination to challenge Democratic Congresswoman Annie Kuster.

Thrift shop reopens in new location
KINGSTON — The Kingston Community House Thrift Shop will reopen Saturday in its new location, Church Street Station at 34 Church St.
The shop will be open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
