---- — Members of U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen’s staff will hold office hours today in Windham and Pelham.
Staff will be available to speak one-on-one with area residents who are seeking help with federal agencies on issues such as veterans’ benefits, federal taxes, housing, immigration and Social Security.
In Windham, go to Nesmith Library, 8 Fellows Road, between 11 a.m. and noon. In Pelham, a Shaheen staff member will be at Town Hall, 6 Village Green, between 1 and 2 p.m. Call 647-7500 with questions.
Budding engineers, architects needed
HAMPSTEAD — Build, build, build with Legos, newspaper, cardboard and wooden sticks at Hampstead Public Library Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. The library will supply the materials and challenging tasks during “If You Come ... We Will Build It.”
Snacks will be available. No signup is required, just creativity and imagination.
Masons collect food, clothes and toys
DERRY — St. Mark’s Lodge 44, Free and Accepted Masons, is holding annual drives for clothing, nonperishable foods and Toy for Tots.
Collection hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 58 E. Broadway. The food collections will be distributed to the First Baptist food pantry. Clothing collections will be donated to First Baptist Church and Marion Gerrish Community Center. Toys for Tots will be delivered to the local Marine Corps Reserve Center to be distributed to local families.
Youth basketball starts soon
PELHAM — Youth basketball for boys and girls begins practices in December.

Plaistow rec plans ‘Nutcracker’ trip
PLAISTOW — Plaistow recreation will be taking a trip to the “Nutcracker “at the Palace Theater in Manchester on Nov. 30.
The bus will leave the park-and-ride lot at 2 p.m., and will return to Plaistow at 7 p.m. Tickets are $40 for residents and can be purchased by calling 382-5200, Ext 18.
Visit the 2013 Festival of Trees
PLAISTOW — The 2013 Plaistow Festival of Trees will be held at Plaistow Fish and Game from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1.
Festival hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 29, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 30, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 1.
All money raised from the event will support the less fortunate children during the holidays.
Trees can be between the sizes of 1 foot to 8 feet in height. A tree can be designed with a theme for your tree, business or just have fun and design your own creation.
The Plaistow Lions Club has added wreaths this year for those who would like to donate a decorated wreath to raffle.
Items for the raffle table can be home made items, gifts, gift cards and craft items. Trees need to be dropped off by Nov. 27, unless prior arrangements have been made.
