SALEM — A drop-off center has been established at Berge's Real Estate for those who would like to contribute to the Samaritan's Purse Project.
The Samaritan's Purse Project delivers gifts to children around the world affected by war, terrorism, poverty and natural disasters.
Individuals, families, schools, Scouts, and religious and civic organizations are invited participate.
This will be the 10th year that Berge's, 22 S. Broadway, has helped needy children during the holidays.

HAMPSTEAD — The Outside in Hampstead “Annual Turkey Buster” will be led by David Treat the day after Thanksgiving.
Meet at the West Road parking area at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, for a two-hour "romp" on and off trail around the West RoadConservation area.

Meat raffle proceeds to help needy
PLAISTOW — The Plaistow Lions Club and Carl G. Davis Post 34 America Legion will be holding a Meat Raffle Friday, Nov. 30, at 6 p.m.
The Meat Raffle will take place at the American Legion Carl G. Davis Post 34 at 176 Main St. Proceeds from the Meat Raffle will go to the Santa Fund to help those in need during the holidays.

Meet 'Gwendolyn, the Graceful Pig'
ATKINSON — There will be a day of ballet fun for budding dancers and story lovers on Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 4:30 p.m. when ballerinas from the European School of Dancing take center stage at Kimball Library, 5 Academy Ave.
Author David Ira Rottenberg reads his picture book, "Gwendolyn, the Graceful Pig," while the dancers perform the story. As an added treat, a mini-movement lesson will be offered to the children in the audience after the performance and Rottenberg will sign copies of his book.
