Trustee of trust funds needed in Salem

SALEM — Selectmen are seeking candidates to serve as a member of the Trustees of the Trust Funds.

Anyone wishing to fill the vacancy until March 10, 2015, is asked to submit a letter of interest by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28. Trustees oversee town trust funds and capital reserve funds.

Selectmen are tentatively scheduled to interview candidates at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 3. Applicants will receive notification of the interview date.

Windham Windup bound for Verizon Arena

WINDHAM – The Windham Windup robotics team is bound for Verizon Wireless Arena and a robots-on-ice competition between periods of a Manchester Monarchs game Dec. 8.

Tickets are $25 and proceeds will help the Windup pay expenses this season.

The Windup will take on the Hopkinton OzRam club with robots specially designed to function on ice. Game time is 7 p.m.

Tickets on sale for senior dinner

HAMPSTEAD — Tickets for the town's Senior Dinner Dec. 2 are on sale at the tax collector and town clerk's office.

The event will be held at the Granite Rose.

The event is geared toward seniors age 62 and up, and tickets are $5 each.
