---- — SANDOWN — Register before Nov. 21 for a free Sandown Recreation “try before you buy” Ballroom Dance demonstration.

The demonstration will be at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 23 at the Ed Garvey Recreation Building, 25 Pheasant Run Drive.

Instructors will have participants feeling comfortable in no time and learning a few simple steps. Pre-registration is required and limited to those who have not participated in prior sessions. Non-residents are welcome.

A 10-week winter session of Ballroom Dance starts in January. Try the demonstration and then decide. Bring a partner, anyone age 16 or older. Call 887-1872 to register.

Plaistow library will be busy

‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ is on stage

DERRY — Pinkerton Players present the holiday classic “It’s a Wonderful Life” on stage at the Stockbridge Theatre at Pinkerton Academy today and tomorrow at 7 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m.

CERT seeks more volunteers

DERRY — Derry’s certified emergency response team group, CERT, seeks people to volunteer.

Snowmobile safety classes a must

KINGSTON — The Southern N.H. Trailblazers will hold snowmobile safety classes Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 7 and 8. Choose one day. Classes run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Kingston Community Library, 2 Library Lane.

Anyone 12 or older must have a snowmobile safety certificate to operate a snowmobile in New Hampshire. Lunch will be provided.

These classes are cosponsored by Kingston police.

HAMPSTEAD — The Knights of Columbus Council 9058 will sponsor a Red Cross blood drive on Friday, Nov. 22, from 1 to 6 p.m. at St Anne’s Church, 26 Emerson Ave.

Bubbleology come to Kimball Library

ATKINSON — Kimball Library is hosting “Bubbleology: The Secret World of Bubbles” on Nov. 23 from 1 to 2 p.m.

The program is packed with state-of-the-art bubble sculptures that snare the attention of the audience. The science behind the magic unfolds like a mystery, making this show both educational and unforgettable.

Sign up for a floral workshop

LONDONDERRY — The Londonderry High School PTSO will host its annual floral workshop on Friday, Nov. 22, at 7 p.m. in the school cafeteria.

Jim Giguere from Countryside Florist leads the workshop and provides all materials. The cost is $35; participants will have a floral arrangement to take home that evening.
