Sandown man charged with not paying garage $8,100

SALEM — A Sandown man was arrested earlier this week on charges of skipping out on a hefty auto repair bill.

George Cedeno, 33, was arrested Thursday on a single count of theft of service. Cedeno allegedly made a $500 deposit for $8,600 worth of work at Rockingham Honda in Salem, but never paid the balance, police Capt. Shawn Patten said.

Cedeno received an insurance check for the work in August, Patten said. He allegedly cashed it, but never made a payment to the dealership, police said.

He was arrested in Sandown on Thursday evening and transported to Salem Police headquarters, where he was held on $10,000 bail.

He was arraigned yesterday in Salem District Court.
