Londonderry shooting remains under investigation

LONDONDERRY — Police released no new information yesterday about a shooting Tuesday night in which they said a 22-year-old man accidentally shot his twin brother in the neck with a .22-caliber rifle.

Andrew Dadian was charged with felony reckless conduct in the shooting of his brother Peter in the neck at about 7 p.m. Tuesday in the family home at 15 Robin Hood Drive. He is free on personal recognizance pending his arraignment next month in Derry District Court.

Peter Dadian was treated and released from Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

Police executed a search warrant for more weapons and drugs Tuesday night, but only after a state police bomb squad first searched the house for a potential explosive device. The bomb squad found only something resembling a bong, used to smoke marijuana, not any explosive devices, police said Tuesday.

Capt. Steve Tatham said yesterday the search warrant was executed, but police had nothing further to report at this time. The investigation is continuing.
