LONDONDERRY — Londonderry High school students and faculty will take part in a ponytail-cutting event, with the cut locks to be made into wigs for women who have lost their hair due to cancer treatments.
The event, part of Pantene Beautiful Lengths, will take place in the high school gymnasium at 8:40 a.m. on Friday.
Wildlife will be coming to Windham center
WINDHAM — Wildlife Encounters will visit town once a month in the form of Zippety Zoo for ages 2 to 5 years old.
They will bring two animals to pet, discuss them, and then do an activity relating to the animals. Different animals will be featured each month.
The first program is set for Friday at 10 a.m. at the Windham Senior Center. Preregistration is a must. Contact the recreation office at 965-1208 or by e-mail at Recreation@WindhamNewHampshire.com to register. Nonresidents are welcome as long as there is space.
It's voter registration time in Atkinson
ATKINSON — The Supervisors of the Checklist will be at the Atkinson Community Center on Tuesday, Jan. 19, from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to register new residents to vote.
New residents are required to have proof of residency.
'Modern Millie' comes to life in Derry
DERRY — "Thoroughly Modern Millie" will be presented by the West Running Brook Middle School Drama Club and Stage Bear Productions.
The play is directed by Jennifer Ciarla and Blake Leister. There's a cast of 44 students, plus crew.
Performances are Friday, Jan 29, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Jan 30, at 4 p.m.
Tickets are $5 for students and seniors, $7 for adults. They will be available at the box office one hour prior to show.
