WINDHAM — About 1,900 National Grid customers in Windham and North Salem lost electricity yesterday for an unknown reason, a power company spokeswoman said.
The outage began at 7:30 a.m. and power was restored by 8 a.m., said Amy Zorich of National Grid.
The cause had still not been determined yesterday afternoon, but Zorich said branches or other objects can come into contact with power lines to cause outages.
The company has 1,076 customers in Windham and 13,769 in Salem.
The Salem outage was confined to Canobie Lake Park, North Policy Street, East Main Street and Range Road.
The outage affected most of Windham.
