NEWTON — The annual Country Pond Fishing Derby is Sunday at Country Pond Fish and Game Club.
Registration, which is $7, begins at 5:30 a.m. The derby is from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Door prizes will be awarded to all children under 12. Food will be available on and off the ice. Bait is available in the clubhouse.
There are several prize categories. No power augurs are allowed before 7 a.m., and lead sinkers under an ounce are not permitted.

Chamber forum set in Windham
WINDHAM — Superintendent Winfried Feneberg, Town Administrator David Sullivan and Community Development Director Laura Scott will headline a Greater Salem Chamber of Commerce forum Thursday, Feb. 6.
The forum begins at 7:30 a.m. at the town’s the Community Development offices, 3 North Lowell Road.
The Windham officials will discuss projects that may affect businesses.

School deliberative session set
SALEM — The school deliberative session will be Thursday, Feb. 6, at 7 p.m. in Salem High School’s Seifert Auditorium.
Voters will have the opportunity to hear plans for the $74. 7 million renovation of Salem High School. They will also consider a $62.5 million proposed operating budget and contracts with school employees.

PELHAM — Friends of the Library’s “An Evening in the Stacks” benefit will be 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at Pelham Public Library, 24 Village Green.
This year’s theme is “Around the World in Eighty Days.” There will be savory food from around the world, a dessert buffet and art show showcasing local artists.

PLAISTOW — Seniors from Atkinson, Danville, Plaistow and Sandown are invited to attend a Senior Citizen Prom, sponsored by Timberlane Regional High School.
There will be an afternoon of appetizers and dessert, dancing, music, entertainment and more.
The event is Feb. 8 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Timberlane Regional High School cafeteria on 36 Greenough Road.
