LANCASTER — A Hudson woman has died following a snowmobile accident in Pittsburg Tuesday, according to New Hampshire Fish and Game.
Pauline Robinson, 47, was riding with her husband David on Trail 20 when she lost control of her snowmobile and struck a tree.
David Robinson rode back to Pittsburg Village to get help. Other snowmobilers stayed with the victim while they waited for rescue personnel to arrive.
After Pauline Robinson was transported out of the woods on a rescue sled, she was flown by DHART helicopter to Central Maine Medical Center, where she later died of her injuries, according to N.H. Fish and Game.
Authorities believe an “unintentional hit of the throttle” was the primary reason for the accident.
Rescuers from Pittsburg Fire, 45th Parallel EMS, Pittsburg Police and New Hampshire Fish and Game responded to the scene.
