HAVERHILL — Winnekenni Castle will hold its annual Independence Day pancake breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. Fill your plate with flapjacks and more for only $3 per child or $6 per adult. Enjoy lawn toys and fun on the castle’s hillside, including children’s balloon art and bubbles with Doctor Goose.
There will also be a children’s coloring contest and decorated “anything-on-wheels” parade. Tuscan Market opens 75-seat trattoria
SALEM, N.H. — Tuscan Market has opened a new cafe at its Main Street establishment.
The Trattoria at Tuscan Market, launched two weeks ago, is a 76-seat cafe that offers guests beer, wine and cordials along with its lunch and dinner options.
The Trattoria is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. It’s also open Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Tuscan Market and the adjacent restaurant, Tuscan Kitchen, are owned and operated by Joe Faro.
Kite festival rescheduled for July 20
LAWRENCE - Food, music, games, clowns and pony rides will be part of the fifth annual Kite Festival July 20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Pemberton Park.
There will be kite making workshops, followed by children and adults flying them.
During the festival, Lawrence Heritage State Park will offer trolley rides and there will be tables featuring information about summer camps, WIC program, Next Step Living and Lawrence CommunityWorks.
