Three face trespass, prowling charges

LONDONDERRY — Three teenagers were arrested near a local business early yesterday and charged with criminal trespass and prowling.

Victor Rosario, 18, Jonathan Taveras, 17, and Roberto Martirena, 18, all of Manchester, were apprehended at Murray’s Auto Recycling at 55 Hall Road, police said.

A neighbor called police at 12:26 a.m. to report a suspicious vehicle parked near the entrance.

“People have tried stealing parts from there in the past,” Londonderry police Lt. Kevin Cavallaro said.

Because of the previous theft attempts, four police cruisers were sent to Murray’s, he said.

When police arrived, they found the three teens hiding in the woods behind the scrap yard.

The three came out of the woods, and one said there was a fourth person involved, Cavallaro said.

But police were unable to confirm whether there really was a fourth suspect, Cavallaro said. Rosario’s car was towed.

Martirena was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail, Rosario on $2,000 personal recognizance bail and Taveras on $1,000 personal recognizance bail.

All three are set to appear in Circuit Court in Derry on Oct. 29.
