MANCHESTER (AP) — A police officer is facing charges — including driving under the influence — after authorities say he crashed into another vehicle on I-93 in Manchester while off duty.
State police say David Connare — a Manchester police officer — was driving his 2011 Mazda at a high rate of speed on Tuesday around 7 p.m. when he rear-ended a car. Both Connare and the other driver were treated at Elliott Hospital and released. The highway was closed for at least 20 minutes.
Connare is charged with reckless conduct, which is a felony, and driving under the influence. He is scheduled to appear in Manchester District Court on Dec. 10.
