Library hosts
literary cook-off
KINGSTON — Kingston Community Library is hosting a Patron and Staff Cook-off Thursday, Nov. 8.
All entries must be appetizers inspired by or taken from literature, fiction or nonfiction.
Enter by Oct. 29 at the front desk and include the title of the book that inspired the dish.
Patrons will sample the entries between 4 and 6 p.m., then vote for their favorites.
Halloween hits Sanborn early
KINGSTON — The Sanborn ice hockey team is hosting a Halloween night tomorrow at the high school.
Eat all you can from 6 to 7 p.m. for a $7 donation. Enter to win some Halloween raffle prizes.
Then, watch two Halloween movies in the auditorium. Both are rated R.
Bargains galore available in Sandown
SANDOWN — The Sandown Lions will hold their Sale into Fall Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 503 Main St.
The sale is being held in conjunction with the Townwide Yard Sale.
Check out the deals on electronics, toys, furniture, sporting goods, books, tools and more.
Proceeds will benefit Lions charities.

HAMPSTEAD — St. Christopher’s Church has a few spots left for crafters/artists to join its annual Craft Fait Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This is a juried fair. All items sold must be handmade. Tables are $40.

PLAISTOW — Anime fans are invited to Plaistow Public Library on the fourth Monday of every month for meetings of the Anime Club.
Students in grades 7-12 are welcome. The meetings run from 4 to 5 p.m.
Watch movies, draw, read and talk.
The library provides snacks.
