Derry nurse suspended after telling police she killed relative

DERRY – The state Board of Nursing has suspended the license of registered nurse Catherine George of Derry after she told police that she killed her brother-in-law.

An emergency order was issued Tuesday in response to questions about the Oct. 9 death of Randall Percival, 55, of Raymond, according to Attorney General Michael Delaney.

George went to the Derry Police Department on Oct. 14 and reportedly told police she gave Percival 300 units of insulin, which she claimed to have taken home from her job at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, Delaney said in a statement yesterday.

The Board of Nursing has a set a Nov. 2 hearing to determine whether to continue the suspension until it completes its investigation.
