DERRY — A former town councilor hopes to oust the incumbent senatore in District 19.
Democrat and former Derry town councilor R. Christopher Reisdorf takes on Republican incumbent James Rausch on Nov. 6.
District 19 includes Derry, Hampstead and Windham.
If elected, Reisdorf said he would want to tackle tax issues at the state level, including more income-based property tax credits.
He credited his opponent for all his work on helping the town of Derry with education funding issues and for his commitment to the Interstate 93 widening project.
Rausch said he hopes to continue his work on the I-93 project and work to support more jobs in the state.
