LONDONDERRY — New Hampshire State Police have charged a pharmacy technician with stealing prescription painkillers.
Steven Detweiler, 28, of Manchester faces 13 counts of uttering forged prescriptions, state police announced last night Detweiler was arrested by Londonderry police and released on $10,000 personal recognizance.
Detweiler’s registration as a pharmacy technician was suspended by the New Hampshire Board of Pharmacy on Sept. 5.
He is accused of stealing more than 1,000 tablets of hydrocodone from his employer. Police did not identify the employer.
He was arrested on three felony charges of possession of controlled drugs and one misdemeanor charge of theft in Londonderry on Aug. 23, police said.
Detweiler is to appear in 10th Circuit Court in Derry on Dec. 14.
The case was investigated by the state police Narcotics and Investigations Unit.
