Salem Town Hall hosts rabies clinic

SALEM — The Salem Lions Club will host a rabies clinic Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Salem Town Hall.

Rabies shots are $12.

The town clerk will be present for dog license registration for Salem residents.

Windham closesfield at Griffin Park

WINDHAM — The town has closed the Griffin Park soccer and lacrosse field for maintenance.

The field should reopen at the end of July. People are asked to use caution in this area.

Register now for Pelham youth tennis

PELHAM — Registration has opened for Pelham youth tennis.

The program starts July 8 and is for youths ages 5 to 12.

The cost is $105 per player, $180 per family. Space is limited.

Windham Garden Club hosts plant sale

WINDHAM — The Garden Club’s plant sale is set for 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the Town Hall parking lot. Growers can get advice from knowledgeable club members.

The sale will include thousands of perennials, annuals, vegetables and herbs.

Swedish meatballs are on the menu

EAST HAMPSTEAD — A Swedish Meatball Supper will be held on Saturday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at East Hampstead Union Church, 225 East Main St. Route 121A) just south of Route 111. The menu includes meatballs, egg noodles, carrots, peas, cranberry sauce, breads, assorted desserts and beverages.

The cost is $7 for adults, $3 for children under 12, and no charge for preschoolers. The site is chairlift accessible. Take-out meals are available. Dinner proceeds benefit the Operating Fund of this historic church. Call 378-0683.
