Holy Angels Food Pantry gets a boost

PLAISTOW — As part of its continual efforts to give back to the community, the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Haverhill office recently donated three shopping carts full of food to the Holy Angels Community Food Pantry in Plaistow.

The sales associates and staff collected and donated food items through the month of June at the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office at 40 Kenoza Ave. as part of its “Christmas in July” food drive.

Sales associates and staff from Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage donated various nonperishable items including rice, pasta, cereal, tomato sauces and canned vegetables.

“Traditionally, donations to food pantries decline during the summer months, as many people often think of donating during the fall and winter months. Unfortunately, the need doesn’t go away during the summer, and in fact, recent budget cuts have created challenges and led to an increase in the number of people seeking assistance at the Holy Angels Community Food Pantry,” said Roy Walker, sales manager of the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Haverhill office. “We are happy we were able to collect so many donations to help the food pantry and its clients.”

The Holy Angels Community Food Pantry serves up to 140 families each month.
