The Eagle-Tribune

---- — WINDHAM — The Windham Historical Society will present Ted Zalewski on Wednesday, Jan. 16, at Nesmith Library at 7 p.m.

His program, “All Aboard the Titanic,” is through a New Hampshire Humanities Council Humanities To Go program and responds to people’s enduring fascination with this epic historic event.

Zalewski has many pictures of passengers and crew with their personal stories, including those with New Hampshire affiliations. He moves beyond the physical facts of this very human event, exploring the personal experiences of people and emphasizing examples of individual courage and triumph.

Zalewski is a Screen Actors Guild actor, a writer, an educator and a historian. He is a longtime college and secondary school teacher who lectures on historical, literary and natural history topics.

He is nationally recognized as a foremost interpreter of Theodore Roosevelt and has presented his living history program on Roosevelt at the Smithsonian Institution conferences for educators. In 2012, he marked his fifth annual July 4th performance as Roosevelt at the Mount Washington Resort.

He is a graduate of the University of Illinois and the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

There is no cost for this program.

Nesmith Library is at 8 Fellows Road.
