Bob Cottrell of Chocorua, a museum consultant and historian, will relate the history of the Chinook. The Chinook isn’t recognized by the American Kennel Club yet, but it is a breed developed by Arthur Walden in the White Mountains. Its major importance is in the role played by Chinook dogs in polar explorations.
The presentation will begin at 7 p.m. at Hampstead Public Library. Refreshments will be available. A meeting of the Friends will follow the presentation.
The program is free and open to the public.
Hampstead Public Library is located at 9 Mary E. Clark Drive.
