DERRY — Dragon Mosquito Control will spray town and school fields and parks today from 5 to 10 p.m.
Locations to be sprayed include Barka School, Derry Village School, East Derry School, Grinnell School, Hood School, South Range School, West Running Brook School, Alexander-Carr Park, Don Ball Park, MacGregor Park, Rider Fields, Veterans Field, Pinkerton Academy and the Pinkerton practice field.
People may not be present during spraying. The fields and parks will be closed from 5 p.m. today to 5 a.m. tomorrow.
Library hosts cooking program that focuses on herbs
KINGSTON — Kingston Library will host a free cooking program tomorrow from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Liz Barbour, chief and food educator, shares how to use every inch of a small garden to maximize its beauty and its bounty using herbs as part of an edible landscape. Participants will be introduced to healthy recipes using herb combinations. Enjoy a cooking demonstration of two recipes and samples for all to taste. Signup is required.

Classical duo will perform at Timberlane
PLAISTOW — On Tuesday, tthe Timberlane Performing Arts Center welcomes Mare Duo, the highly acclaimed classical duet featuring Annika (Lueckenergfeld) Hinsche and Fabian Hinsche, two of Germany’s most successful musicians on their respective instruments, mandolin and guitar.
As soloists and chamber musicians they have won more than 20 prizes in international competitions across Europe. Appearing with the Mare Duo will be the New England Mandolin Ensemble, a quartet exploring the classical mandolin quartet format. NEME is directed by August Watters, a professor at Boston’s Berklee College of Music, and also features Ted Mann (Keene State), Charles Moser and John Zevos.
