PLAISTOW — The Knights of Columbus will host the third Middle School Dance of the school year for children in sixth through eighth grades on Friday.
The dance is held at St. Luke’s Church Hall (formerly Holy Angels) on Route 121 near the Haverhill/Atkinson line. The dance runs from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
Admission is $5; a concession stand is available. Children are expected to show up in proper attire (school type rules apply).
The dance is well chaperoned with 20 or more adults and a police officer is on duty inside the dance. Email Peter of the Knights at email@example.com with questions.
Senior Coffee Hour slated in Danville
DANVILLE — The Danville Senior Coffee Hour will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Town Hall.
All Danville seniors are invited. A representative from ServiceLink will be available to discuss future changes to Medicare.

Salem begins its winter parking ban
SALEM — The annual winter parking ban goes into effect Friday and lasts through April 15.
On-street parking will be prohibited from midnight to 6 a.m. It will also be banned during any snow emergency, which is when there is 3 inches or more of accumulation.
Fliers will be placed on vehicles parked on streets between Friday and Nov. 22. Police will issue warnings from Nov. 23 through Dec. 1.
Beginning Dec. 1, parking citations will be issued to all vehicles that violate the ban.
Seniors, enjoy dinner in Sandown
SANDOWN — Sandown Recreation offers the annual Harvest Dinner for residents age 60 and older on Saturday at Route 111 Village Square Restaurant.
Seniors are invited to enjoy a free turkey dinner and entertainment.
Space is limited. Register today. Seniors must be a Sandown resident with ID if needed. Guests are limited to spouses only.
Doors will open no sooner than 11:30 a.m., with lunch promptly at noon. They cannot accommodate special diets. Call the recreation office at 887-1872 and leave a name and number. No walk-ins will be allowed on the day of the event.
It’s ‘Daddy and Donuts’ story time
PELHAM — “Daddy and Donuts” story time will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Pelham Library, 24 Village Green.
This month’s theme is Thanksgiving. There will be stories, songs, crafts, doughnuts and time for fathers to be with their children.
