BOSTON (AP) — Boston city officials have broken the ground for the $115 million municipal building they say will help revitalize Dudley Square.

The Dudley Municipal Building will house the new headquarters for Boston Public Schools and more than 500 employees.

It will include street-level retail space, as well as open space to showcase student work, school events and host community gatherings.

The new construction will incorporate the historic Ferdinand's Furniture Building together with two other structures.
