DERRY — The bodies of a father and his son were found in a mobile home at 30 Kendal Pond Road early Monday afternoon.

Officials are calling their deaths "untimely." They have been identified as Matthew Edmunds, 39, and Preston Connor Edmunds, 6. Chief Medical Examiner Jennie V. Duval has scheduled autopsies for both victims for Tuesday.

Asked if foul play is suspected, Senior Assistant Attorney General Benjamin Agati said, "That's definitely on the table. We can't rule it out."

Agati and police Chief Edward Garone said in a press release "there is no known risk of harm to the general public."

An unidentified person called Derry police at 12:30 p.m. requesting a welfare check at unit 35 at 30 Kendal Pond Road, according to the press release. Officers did not receive a response when they knocked at the door, police said.

After the officers entered, they found Edmunds and his son in a bedroom. They were the only residents of the home, which is located in a community of other mobile homes, police said.
