New Hampshire’s Kevin Pillar scored the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth inning on an error by New Britain shortstop Danny Santana.

The Fisher Cats held on for a 4-3 victory on the road last night.

Pillar had a fine day, going 4 for 5, including a double, from the leadoff spot. Meanwhile, Kevin Nolan was 1 for 3, blasting a two-run homer in the sixth for New Hampshire, which improved to 20-22.

Tyson Brummett started, going 5.0 innings and allowing three runs, all earned, on seven hits and one walk while striking out six.
