Board's vote signals green light for cell tower

DERRY - Despite the objections of the Town Council and several residents, the Zoning Board of Adjustment voted again to allow a company to build a cell phone tower serving T-Mobile customers in an area where they're not allowed.

The council, prompted by concerns raised by Councilor Janet Fairbanks, had appealed the variance that the Zoning Board granted Omnipoint Communications Inc. in August. Zoning Board members voted again, this time 4 to 1, in favor of granting the variance last night, saying the company met the criteria.Read this article in full with a
