Group rejects offer to duplicate monument for Vietnam Honor Roll

ATKINSON - Just when residents thought the dispute over a Vietnam Honor Roll was over, another change may be made.

Representatives from the Vietnam Honor Roll Committee, selectmen and their lawyers met in mediation this week and agreed that selectmen would come up with a duplicate of the current Vietnam memorial stone, which stands at Town Hall. The duplicate, along with two panels carrying the names of local Vietnam veterans, would be placed at the Historical Society with memorials honoring veterans from other wars.
