Marguerite T. Martini, 87
Marguerite T. (Williams) Martini, 87, of Danvers, died on January 31, 2012 in Haverhill. Daughter of Henry and Anna Williams. Marguerite graduated from Salem High School in Salem MA., Class of 1941. She went on to graduate from Salem State College with a BS degree in education in 1945 and later studied at Boston University Graduate School. Mrs. Martini taught in the Portsmouth NH School system 1945–1947 and taught business at Hamilton HS 1947-1950. She also was involved with coaching (3) sports. Marguerite was a communicant of St. Mary’s Annunciation Church in Danvers, where she did ministry work, volunteered with the Holy rollers and was a member of the sodality of St Mary’s Church. A past member of the AAUW and the North Shore Players Woman’s Association. She was the wife of her late husband Carl Martini and mother of the late Michael Martini. She is survived by her daughter Judith Cunningham wife of Gene Cunningham. Daughter-in-law Doreen Martini and 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Donald Kingston, 78
Donald "Donnie" J. Kingston, 78, born in Salem on March 6, 1933, was the son of the late Mary Zerola. He graduated from Salem High, served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War and graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology as a civil engineer. He was employed with Insurance Services Offices in the field of fire protection where he was instrumental in establishing several standards and codes implemented in fire safety and apparatus requirements.

John B. Hanna, a life-long resident of Methuen, died at the age of 83 on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill.

He graduated from the Boston School for the Deaf in 1946. He played softball for 10 years at the Boston Club and was a huge Red Sox Fan. John worked for many years at the Shawsheen Mills as a furniture upholsterer in Andover. He loved his morning cup of coffee, doing crossword puzzles, watching racing and enjoyed pork pies from the local bakery. -

Judith A. “Judy” Pento, 56, of Derry, NH died unexpectedly Saturday January 21, 2012 at her home with her family. She was born on February 11, 1955 in Malden, MA a daughter of the late Edward C. and Ethel (Ollis) McGowen. Judy was employed as a teacher for Seacoast Career School where she stepped down from her position in Administration to be more involved with the students she cared for so much. She also worked in the medical field for a period of time, working at Dr. Gogjian’s Office in Andover, MA and the Health stop Walk-in Clinic in Medford, MA. Judy loved the ocean, taking trips to the beach and watching the seagulls. She also enjoyed arts and crafts.

Ray was born in Lawrence, MA on November 21, 1931, the son of John W. and Agnes G. (O'Donald) Geary and had been living in Clearwater for the past three years, moving from Rochester, NH. Prior to his retirement he worked as a truck driver for Holmes Transportation. He was a veteran of the US Navy and enjoyed camping. He was predeceased by his wife Ann and his son Richard. -

In his teens he enjoyed playing Dungeons and Dragons and has always loved computer games, the History Channel and all topics dealing with Science. Those who knew Bill enjoyed hearing him discuss the things he learned and his enjoyment in discovering new scientific ideas. -
