Andover — Imelda L. (Daigle) Morneault, 88, died on Monday, December 16, 2013, at the Wingate at Andover, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Fort Kent, Maine, and was the daughter of Donat and Mariette (Asselin) Daigle.
Imelda was employed for many years as a seamstress at Russem's Clothing Store in Lawrence and as an assembler with the Raytheon Co. in Andover, before retiring to enjoy quality time with her family.
Mrs. Morneault was a former Communicant of Sacred Heart Church in South Lawrence.
Imelda was the widow of Clifford L. Morneault, who died July 22, 1983.
Survivors include her children, Mary Ann and husband, Anthony S. Amore of Methuen, and Nancy Soucy of Methuen; grandchildren, Amber Bouvier of Milford, N.H., and Karen and husband, David Forni of Salem, N.H.; one great-granddaughter, Kenzie Bouvier; and Imelda's longtime companion, the late Paul Boutin; sister, Rella Morin of Windham, Conn.; one brother, Paul Daigle and wife, Sandra, of Biddeford, Maine; and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a granddaughter Kimberly A. Soucy.
Also a heartfelt thank you from Imelda's family to the Windgate of Andover and Becon Hospice for all their care and support during this difficult time.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will take place on Thursday morning, at 11 a.m., at St Monica's Church, with entombment to follow in Saint Mary-Immaculate Conception Mausoleum. Friends will be warmly received on Wednesday, from 3 to 8 p.m., at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Imelda's honor may be made to Gift Processing, Kimberly A. Soucy Memorial Scholarship Fund, 134 Hicks Way, Amherst, MA 01003.
