Tucson, AZ — Josephine C. Limanni, "Jo" as she preferred to be called, passed unexpectedly on October 31, in Tucson, Ariz., where she lived with her daughter, Maria Loose. Jo was a longtime resident of Lawrence and then of Salem, N.H. Many will remember Jo as the owner of Tune Town in Lawrence for over 30 years. She was born in Lawrence and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1940. She later attended the Lawrence Academy of Beauty Culture, then operated the Labelle Beauty Parlor. Jo married Michael A. Limanni in 1947. They were married for 31 years. Doing for others was Jo Limanni's greatest gift.
She is survived by her five children, Anthony Limanni of Gilford, N.H., Charles Limanni of Barrington, N.H., Suzette Miller of N. Hampton, N.H., Maria Loose, of Tucson, Ariz., and Michael Limanni of Bonney Lake, Wash. Jo will also be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: A celebration of Jo’s life will be held on Sunday, December 29, from 1 to 4 p.m., at Saint John’s Masonic Lodge #1, 351 Middle Street, Portsmouth, N.H. All who were touched by Jo Limanni are cordially invited to attend.
