Nashua, NH — Priscilla (Lewis) Johnson of Nashua passed away peacefully at her home on January 4, 2014. Her husband was by her side. She was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts on May 20, 1929, a daughter of the late Malcolm and Mary (Fyfe) Lewis. Mrs. Johnson was the wife of Roger Johnson, whom she married on April 13, 1952. They were longtime residents of Nashua, New Hampshire.
She was a graduate of Haverhill High School. Following her graduation, she attended the University of New Hampshire, and Columbia University where she received her B.Sc. with the benefit of a scholarship from the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis. In addition to raising three sons, Mrs. Johnson had a lifelong passion in assisting the old and young. She was a certified physical therapist in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, working at Children’s Hospital in Boston and at the Greenbriar Terrace in Nashua.
Among her interests, she enjoyed golf, curling and skiing. She and her husband have been longtime members of the Nashua Country Club. She was also a volunteer at Southern NH Medical Center and was involved with the March of Dimes.
She is remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. In addition to her beloved husband, survivors include her sons, Greg, Todd and Brett; her grandchildren, Finn, Breezy, Clara, Thomas, Lucas, Alden, Mason, and Lily; her great-grandchildren, August and Anna; her brothers, Donald Lewis and Wallace Lewis; and her cousin, Norman Bolyea and his wife, Sandy.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held at the Davis Funeral Home, One Lock St., Nashua on Friday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. A Funeral Service in her honor will be held at the Davis Funeral Home, on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. Burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Nashua.
