Jeanne Hartford, 84


Goffstown, NH — Jeanne C. Hartford, 84, of Goffstown, NH, died Monday, November 18, at Catholic Medical Center. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, following a brief illness.

Born in Wakefield, Massachusetts on June 3, 1929, Jeanne was the daughter of the late Arthur J. and the late Charlotte A. Smith.

During her lifetime, Jeanne worked as a jewelry consultant for Whitehall Jewelers and Ultra. Most recently, she worked as a volunteer at Hillsborough County Nursing Home for the past 6 years. The times that brought Jeanne the most joy were those spent with her children, whom she loved with all her heart. Jeanne was a devout Catholic, whose faith carried her through difficult times.

Jeanne is survived by her children, Debra Lewis-McNutt and her husband, Thomas McNutt, of Dunbarton, NH, Cathy Dube and her husband, Paul, of Methuen, MA, Allen Hartford, Jr. and his wife, Ann, of Methuen, MA, Wendy Walker and her husband, Matthew Rabideau, of Penacook, NH, and Glen Hartford and his wife, Annie, of North Andover, MA.

She is survived by her loving grandchildren, Stephen, Chris, Meri, Tori, Stef, Jeffery, Michael, Christopher, Glen Jr., Brendan and Katie. Great-grandchildren include Colin, Nicholas and Devin. She leaves her brother, Donald of Seattle; sister, Hazel of CA; sister-in-law, Marge of Las Vegas; as well as nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. She is also survived by her ex-husband, Allen Hartford, Sr. of Goffstown, NH.

ARRANGEMENTS: A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, November 22, at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church in Goffstown, NH. A graveside burial will be held afterwards at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Manchester, NH.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jeanne's memory can be made to the New Horizons Food Bank in Manchester, NH.
