Methuen, MA — Geraldine M. Cocozza, 72, of Methuen passed away peacefully Sunday April 14, 2013, with her family by her side. She was born in Lawrence and was the daughter of the late William and Evelyn (Johnson) Sullivan. She was educated in the Lawrence schools and was a graduate of Lawrence High School.
While her children were young Gerri was employed by the Lawrence Public Schools as a cook. She then worked for Graphic Controls in Methuen until her retirement. An avid Boston sports fan she looked forward every year to spring training and her beloved Red Sox. Gerri was an incredible mother that always put her children first. She was a wonderful nana to the greatest joys of her life; her three beautiful granddaughters. She was front and center at every dance recital, competition, prom and graduation. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Kim Suliveras and her husband, Juan “Ted”, of Lawrence, and son, Michael and his wife, Betty, of Epping, N.H.; her three beloved granddaughters, Kourtney and Katie Suliveras, and Kaelin Cocozza; sister in law, Margaret (Michael) Sullivan; three aunts, Mrs. Doris Skusevich, Mrs. Claire Paine and Mrs. Arthur Johnson; a niece, two nephews, one great niece and four great nephews; many cousins and extended family. She was predeceased by her brothers Michael and William.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends will be received at calling hours on Thursday, April 18, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. A mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday, April 19, 2013, at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, Lawrence. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery Lawrence.
