North Andover — Mary K. (Kmiec) Christie, 100, of North Andover died Friday at Mary Immaculate Nursing Home in Lawrence.
Mary was born in North Andover on September 12, 1912 to the late Martin and Susanna (Motyka) Kmiec.
Mary was a lifelong North Andover resident and was a member of the North Andover Senior Citizen’s Center and the North Andover Bowling League. She was also a member of the Pioneers Club and a parishioner of St. Michael's Church.
She was employed as a supervisor at Western Electric until her retirement.
Mary was the widow of the late Frederick R. Christie, Sr. who died in 1981. She is survived by her two sons, Frederick R. Christie, Jr. and his wife Mary Ann of Endicott New York and William F. Christie and his wife Susan of Methuen. Also among her survivors are her three grandchildren, Lauren, Ian and Evan Christie as well as several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her six sisters and five brothers.
Mary’s family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the wonderful staff at Mary Immaculate Nursing Home for the kind and compassionate care given to Mary.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral mass will be offered on Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Michael’s Church in North Andover. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 AM prior to the Mass at the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third Street North Andover.
