Lawrence, MA — Vicente M. Berroa, 92, passed away on December 13, 2013, at his home, surrounded by his loving and dedicated family. He was born in Samana, Dominican Republic, and was the son of the late Sinencio Berroa and his wife Irene Pena. He worked in the sugar cane industry, and came to the United States in 1973. Vicente settled with his family in Lawrence and was employed at ITT Semiconductor until his retirement in 1983. He enjoyed music and playing the guitar. Vicente was a faithful follower and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness on Essex Street. The widow of Matilde Herrera, Vicente is survived by his children, Elsa Berroa, Julian Berroa, Glorivee Santana, Irene Berroa, Ana Diaz, Matilde Mera, Idalisse Berroa, Margarita Berroa, and Ivellisse Francis. In addition, he is survived by 17 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
ARRANGEMENTS: A talk will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness, 825 Essex Street, Lawrence. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Farrah Funeral Home, 133 Lawrence Steet, Lawrence.
