Derry, NH — Anthony "Tony" F. Barros, 83, of Derry, N.H., passed on Friday December 13, 2013, in Boston. He was born in Danbury, Conn., on November 28, 1930, and was the son of the late Manuel and Mary (Andrade) Barros. He had been a resident of Derry for the past four years, formerly living in Salem, N.H. Mr. Barros had been employed as a shift supervisor for Raytheon Corporation in Andover, Mass. He loved Disney World, taking Disney Cruises and was a lifetime Boston Red Sox fan. Everyone will remember him for his warm smile and fun-loving personality.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley A. Barros of Derry; two daughters, Holly Barros and Jacqueline Bourque both of Derry; two sons, Fredrick C. Beal of Lakeville, Mass., and Kenneth A. Beal of Ft. Myers, Fla.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his sister, Augusta Daly of Lowell, Mass.; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was a father figure to his granddaughters, Jennifer Bordis and Vanessa Barros. Mr. Barros was predeceased by his siblings, Leo Barros and Francesca Vaughn.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 17, from 5 to 8 p.m., in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, at 10 a.m., in the Central Congregational Church, 14 Crescent Street, Derry. The burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in East Derry.
