Methuen, MA — Ana Silva, 79, of Methuen, passed away on Friday, December 27, at the Kindred Hospital in Peabody. She was born in the Azores, and was the daughter of the late John and Amilia Barcelos. She was the wife of the late Eduino Silva, who passed away in 1998. Ana stayed at home to take care of her family, and in her free time, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, going to church dances at St. Peter and Paul in Lawrence, but most of all spending time with her family.
Ana is survived by a son, Eddie Silva of Methuen; three daughters, Estela Arroyo and her husband, Peter, of Manchester, N.H., and Elizabeth Silva and Margaret Silva, both of Methuen; a sister, Margarita Demorais of Derry N.H.; five grandchildren, Corinne Arroyo, Jason Silva, Melissa Arroyo, Jamie Silva, and Kristofer Arroyo; six great-grandchildren; and may nieces and nephews. She is also predeceased by a sister, Odilia Lima.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, January 2, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, January 3, at 9 a.m., at St Monica's Church in Methuen, with burial to follow in St. Mary Immaculate Cemetery, Lawrence.
